PRIVACY POLICY

Privacy policy

This policy explains how KidsBookPDF.co collects, uses, shares, retains, and protects information when an adult orders a personalized digital storybook.

Effective July 31, 2026 · Questions: support@kidsbookpdf.co

1. Who controls the information

KidsBookPDF.co is responsible for the information described in this policy. Privacy questions and verified requests can be sent to support@kidsbookpdf.co.

The ordering service is for adults age 18 or older. Only a child's parent or legal guardian may provide child personalization details. A gift buyer provides adult contact and payment information only.

2. Information we collect

We collect information that an adult supplies when browsing, ordering, personalizing, receiving, or requesting support for a storybook.

  • Adult information: email address, order details, billing country, support messages, and communications preferences.
  • Transaction information: payment status, amount, currency, payment reference, refunds, and fraud-prevention signals. Full card details are handled by the payment provider, not by KidsBookPDF.co.
  • Limited child personalization supplied by a parent or guardian: first name, nickname, or invented story name; age range; optional pronouns; selected appearance; one favorite detail; and a short dedication.
  • Technical information: IP address, browser and device information, request timestamps, security logs, and basic website performance data.

3. Information we do not request

We do not request child photos, video, voice, surnames, exact birth dates, school, address, live location, child email or phone details, health information, biometric information, or long private family histories.

Please do not place sensitive information in a dedication or support message. If we discover information that the service does not need, we will delete or restrict it when reasonably possible.

4. How and why we use information

We use information to accept and verify adult orders; create, review, deliver, and correct the PDF; provide customer support; process refunds; prevent fraud and misuse; secure and maintain the website; comply with legal and accounting duties; and establish or defend legal claims.

Where applicable, processing is based on performing the purchase contract, complying with law, our legitimate interests in security and service operation, or consent when the law requires it.

The child's name is replaced with an internal character label before illustration generation and inserted later during PDF layout. Personalization information is not used for behavioral advertising, public galleries, unrelated profiling, or training our own or a provider's general-purpose models.

5. Service providers and international processing

We may use carefully selected providers for payment processing, cloud hosting, email delivery, security, customer support, PDF production, and illustration generation. They may process information only to provide contracted services and must follow applicable confidentiality, security, retention, and data-protection obligations.

Providers may operate in countries different from yours. When required, we use recognized transfer safeguards or rely on another lawful transfer mechanism.

We do not sell child personalization information or adult personal information. We do not share personalization information with data brokers or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

6. Retention and deletion

Abandoned unpaid personalization drafts are deleted within 24 hours. Preview and download links expire after seven days. Personalization fields, previews, and working production assets are deleted within 14 days after final delivery or refund closure, with deletion from routine backups completed within 30 days where technically feasible.

Adult payment, tax, fraud-prevention, dispute, and accounting records may be retained for the period required by law, payment providers, or legitimate record-keeping needs. Those records are kept separately by order reference and should not contain child story details.

7. Cookies, security, and private pages

We may use essential cookies or similar storage for security, checkout, preferences, and service operation. Personalization, preview, and download pages do not use behavioral advertising, remarketing pixels, or session replay.

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including encrypted connections, access controls, data minimization, private delivery links, and security logs designed to exclude story content. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

8. Your privacy choices and rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of personal information, withdraw consent, and complain to a data-protection authority. We may need to verify the requesting adult's identity and relationship to the order before acting.

Email requests to support@kidsbookpdf.co. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.

9. Children's information

The website and ordering flow are directed to adults, not children. We do not knowingly permit children to create accounts or submit information directly. If we learn that a person under 18 submitted personal information, we will stop processing and delete it promptly except where a narrow security or legal retention duty applies.

A parent or legal guardian may request access, correction, or deletion of the limited child personalization connected to their order.

10. Policy updates and contact

We may update this policy when our service, providers, or legal obligations change. We will post the revised policy and effective date on this page.
